Most Shared Posts: Display Top Posts by Social Votes

Showing your top posts in your sidebar is a good way to keep your visitors on your website for longer. There are plenty of popular posts plugins around these days. We have covered plenty of them on this site in the past. Most Shared Posts is a cool plugin that shows you top posts based on the number of social votes they have received. It counts your Facebook likes, Twitter mentions, and G+ votes. Here is how its widget looks like:

Most Shared Posts is highly customizable. You do not necessarily have to show votes from all three social networks. Just check off the ones you do not want counted towards determining your popular posts. If you just want the posts and do not want the icons beneath each of them, just check the β€œDon’t display icons and counts.”

You can change the font and look and feel of your widget from the back-end (can probably do a better job if you get your feet wet with CSS). Users do not need to know any coding to get started with this plugin.

If you prefer to use social votes instead of views or # of comments to determine your top posts, Most Shared Posts is just the script you need.
