How to: Add the BO.LT Share Button To WordPress

How to: automate WordPress tasks

These days we hear a lot about sites such as Pinterest. But it is not the only game in town. BO.LT is another exciting social page sharing community that lets you find and share exciting pages with others. BO.LT may not get as much traffic as top social networking sites such as Facebook. But it could bring image-heavy sites more visitors. It does happen to have a share button you can add to your pages so people can share your content on BO.LT.

In order to add the BO.LT Share to your website, you need to add the above code to it. You can grab the appropriate code here. Just add the code to your template or sidebar to use it. The JavaScript code needs to be included once per page but the anchor can be included in multiple places.

You can play around with the anchor properties to customize your button’s behavior. Use data-url to override the default URL. The data-mode property lets you change your BO.LT button’s default behavior from share to grab, signup or login (leaving the default option on should work for most webmasters).

I still like Pinterest better than BO.LT. But if you are looking for another social page sharing community to target on your website, adding the BO.LT Share button to your site is not a bad idea.
