The world of SEO is changing all the time. Google has made serious improvements to its algorithm in the past few months. If your business is not active on top social networking sites, you are going to have a very difficult time getting your brand in front of more people, building relationships, and driving more traffic to your site. Did you know that you can embed your social media updates and others’ posts on your website? Here are a few ways you can embed Twitter, Facebook, Google+, Vine, LinkedIn, and Pinterest content into your WordPress site:

Embedding Google+ posts

Google+ is one of my favorite social networks. It has improved a lot over the past couple of years. Google now allows its users to embed Google+ posts in their site. Just find the post you like, choose Embed Post, and copy the appropriate code snippet to your site.

Adding Vine videos to WordPress

There are multiple ways to do this. You could always download JetPack, connect your website to WordPress.com and use the Vine shortcode to add Vine videos to your site. The Vine Embed plugin could also do the job.

Embed Twitter posts

The process is very simple. All you have to do is choose the tweet that you would like to embed on your website and grab the appropriate code from Twitter.

Embed Facebook content

Embedding Facebook posts into your WordPress posts couldn’t be any easier. Just select the post you would like to embed and copy the code snippet that Facebook gives you.

Embed LinkedIn Profile

LinkedIn has many buttons and widgets you can add to your website to promote your profile and company. Just visit the plugins page on LinkedIn and grab the code snippet that works for your site to get started.

Add your latest Pinterest pins & boards to WordPress

Pinterest has a bunch of widgets that allow you to show your latest pins or board updates on your website. Choose the widget that works for you, add your URL, and click on Build It! to get the code you need. You do have the option to load Pinterest content asynchronously. You can find the appropriate code under the “Advanced” option.

Embedding Facebook, Twitter, Google+, and other social media updates in your posts could make them more interesting for your visitors. You shouldn’t go overboard but the idea is worth testing.
