10 Best Social Bookmarking WordPress Plugins
Social bookmarking plugins for WordPress are developed to help you encourage your visitors to submit your posts to top social websites. Not all of them are equal though. You want to download those that offer a unique value to your visitors, are attractive and customizable. These 10 social bookmarking plugins offer those and more:
Sharebar: adds floating social bookmarking and sharing buttons to your website. If you have been to Mashable, you have a good idea how this plugin will work. It lets you add additional social networks as you wish.
SexyBookmarks: an exciting plugin that adds an attractive set of social bookmarking buttons to your posts. If you are looking for flair, this plugin’s got it.
Socialize: adds social bookmarking buttons to the end of your posts and gives you the opportunity to call your visitors to take some action.
Share and Follow: a unique WordPress plugin that not only adds those standard social buttons to your website, it lets you promote your social profiles using its social tab feature.
Sociable: one of the most popular social plugins around. It has over 100 social networks for you to choose from and add to your pages.
Digg Digg: we still use this plugin on this site even though ShareBar is a tad bit more flexible. Digg Digg does have more social buttons right out of the box.
WP Greet Box: tracks your visitors and their referring URLs and lets you customize your call to action for them accordingly. You can also use this plugin to spoil people who come to your website from Twitter, Facebook, Delicious, or any other site of your choosing.
Wibiya Toolbar: installs Wibiya toolbar on your site and lets you get your visitors more engaged. Wibiya has a ton of apps you can install to enhance its functionality (including a social bookmarking plugin).
Drag to Share eXtended: adds drag and drop sharing to your website. Acts similarly to the effect you have probably seen on top blogs and portals.
Apture: adds a social header-bar to your website. The bar is hidden until your visitors scroll down your pages. They can use it to share your work on Facebook and Twitter.

Great post! I use Digg Digg on my sites though I've found Sociable to be effective as well, especially for blogs that need a social bookmarking plugin that won't slow down their server.
